Whitsundays to Cairns

Me in Airlie Beach. A lot of very drunk people there, but it is also the gateway to the Whitsundays.
Catamaran sailing boat.
Hoisting the sail.

We are sailing.

On our way to our first dive.

Yihaa!
I really big and flat fish - George!

Whithaven Beach

Drawing in the sand.

Audrey, Laurence and Magda are professional skiers from France. They also seemed to be professional acrobats at the beach.

Here's another acrobat!

So nice silica sand

From the outlook

Jet holds the upper hand.

A whale!

Sugar cane.

God!

My French friends joined me up to Townsville. We seem to be lost, but we're actually not.

Something is burning!

Fraser Island

A long beach. Not too tempting to swim in the sea because of strong currents and sharks!

At the Champagne Pools

Me watching the angry sea.

Full moon

Total eclipse of the moon

Ship Wreck on the beach.

My hand.

Fungus

Fresh water!

Desert

Isabelle

Nice fresh water beach.

Emarald Lake

Me swimming in the lake

My travel mates. Phil, Andy, Jens, Sam, Ashling and Lisa. Isabelle and Deena behind the camera. A Dingo came and visited us later that night.

Hervey Bay

I reached Hervey Bay in the evening. The ferries for Fraser Island docked.

I spent my first night in the car.

Hervey Bey was pretty sleepy, but the waterfront was really nice.

Sunshine Coast is Flooding

After one week of rain in Brisbane. The sun finally decided to come back. On my way up north, several roads were flooded and I had to take detours to make my way. A car in trouble on the river left.

These guys must have had a wet night. But they did seem optimistic about the conditions changing to the better.
Exotic danger!

The legendary surf spot - Noosa

Typical Ozzie tree.

Surf was a bit messy!

Beautiful beach.
